UCSF Seeks Abdominal Imager (Radiologist Job Opening)

The UCSF Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is seeking a faculty member for our Abdominal Imaging and Nuclear Medicine Sections. The ideal candidate will be fellowship trained in both Abdominal Imaging and Nuclear Medicine and will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in the In- Residence, Clinical X or HSC Clinical series, depending upon qualifications.

Clinical responsibilities will be split between the Abdominal Imaging and Nuclear Medicine services. In Abdominal Imaging, these will include CT of the abdomen and pelvis (including advanced applications such as three-dimensional imaging, CTA, virtual colonoscopy and CT cholangiography), MRI and MRA of the abdomen and pelvis (including liver, prostate, gynecologic and genitourinary applications), image-guided needle biopsies, and GI and GU fluoroscopic examinations. In Nuclear Medicine, responsibilities include the full spectrum of general diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine, including nuclear cardiology and positron emission tomography. The candidate will supervise and teach residents, fellows, and medical students in these areas and will be involved in the departmental clinical research program. Responsibilities will include clinical duties at the UCSF Parnassus and Mt. Zion campuses, as well as all affiliated institutions, including San Francisco General Hospital, and the San Francisco Veterans Administration Medical Center.

This position requires teaching proficiency, clinical expertise in general diagnostic radiology, abdominal imaging, nuclear medicine, and ideally fellowship training in both Abdominal Imaging and Nuclear Medicine. In addition, the candidate must be Board eligible or certified in diagnostic radiology and Nuclear Medicine and must be licensed to practice medicine in California.
