radRounds (CHICAGO) -- RSNA can be a chaotic and hectic place!! The largest medical meeting in the world and one of the largest trade / scientific shows. Here are some tips to keep you sane and happy:
- Don't try to go to all the talks if this is your first time... use the book / conference directory for a targetted approach - pick what you like and go directly there!
- There is more than one coat check! Make use of the Lakeside coat check which has shorter lines
- For residents, there is the RSNA 2008 resident lounge - free food and coffee nearly the whole day!
- Eat not at 12PM for lunch but earlier or later to avoid the long lines
- Stay hydrated! Many talks and lots of exhibit floorspace
- Know where the restrooms are at McCormick
- Metra is free
- Cabs are also located on the Lakeside - the cab lines are extremely long especially at around 5pm!
Most importantly, have a great time! Meet old friends, network, learn, and enjoy the parties!
