MRI Teaching File - Evolving to fit your needs

The MRI Teaching File is expanding to include a new category in addition to Body, MSK, and Cardiac. The new section added to the database is breast imaging. The MRI Teaching File for breast will be administered similarly to the other sections with contributors receiving compensation for their submissions. In order to grow the section of the site for this emerging modality, we encourage everyone to contribute as many cases as possible. Submission requirements are available on the RFS Web site.

ACR at 2008 RSNA - RFS Reception and More!

Please join us for the ACR-RFS reception to be held in Chicago during this year's RSNA meeting. The reception is dedicated to residents and fellows and provides an opportunity to learn more about the role of the ACR and ACR RFS in advocating and representing your interests. Food and drinks will of course be provided, as well as our ever popular big door prizes. Be sure to enter your name in the drawing for this year's big door prizes, a new iPod® Touch or Sirius Satellite Radio. Two of each will be awarded, and you must be present to win. RSVP to rfs@acr.org to reserve your complimentary gift.

Nominations are Being Accepted for Members-in-training to Attend a Meeting of Radiology's Leaders

The Intersociety Committee, a freestanding committee of the ACR, serves as a gathering place for radiology's leaders. In this forum, each radiological society has an equal voice in helping formulate solutions to the issues confronting the practice of diagnostic radiology and radiation oncology. Two members-in-training will be elected by the ACR Council during the 2009 ACR Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership Conference (AMCLC). Selected individuals will attend the 2009 Intersociety Summer Conference in July. A requirement of attendance is the publication of a report of the proceedings for the ACR Bulletin.

To run for one of these positions, please ask your chapter to submit your name to the College Nominating Committee. The deadline for submitting nominations is Dec. 30. For more information, visit the ACR Web site or contact Mary Jane Donahue at mjdonahue@acr.org.
AFIP Housing Database

"Seriously, this is the place where we're going to live?" Want to avoid hearing this upon entering your apartment at AFIP? Enter the ACR AFIP Housing Database. This unique housing database (accessible through the RFS Web site) allows attendees to plan where they will live during their four-weeks in Washington, D.C. The database allows you to search for housing based on location and provides information on available amenities. In addition, past AFIP participants are able to rate their rental property using a five-star rating system.

If you have previously attended AFIP we invite you to help us grow the database of available housing. Please complete a form to provide information on the rental property you chose.
