Connecting Radiology | Enabling collaboration and professional development

The radiologist job market is tough so you need all the proper resources. The best way to find a job is through networking and introductions to groups from other radiologists. Use your personal network -- anyone you can think of. Ask for help and ask for introductions. Use networking sites like Linkedin and radRounds to maximize your networking capital.

As far as existing traditional ways of finding jobs, use a job board. Here are links to several useful job boards:

ACR Career Center
RSNA Radiology Job Board
Auntminnie Radiology Job Classifieds
Radworking Radiology Job Board

Also if you don't succeed, consider a recruiter - not all recruiters are unscrupulous and contemptuous individuals. In fact, they do make money from connecting you to a group so one thing to be weary of is--ask why did the group need to hire an expensive recruiter to find a radiologist in this tough market. Is it convenience and a tradition at their practice? Or are they really in need of a radiologist?

Good luck in your job search and career development as a radiologist!
