FDA Approves iPhone and iPad Radiology App

MIM Mobile, an iPad and iPhone-based mobile remote diagnostic imaging too. Imagine a full fledged PACS / DICOM viewer on your iPad and iPhone! Mobile MIM was not in the Apple App store for an extended period of time due to the FDA approval process since it first won the Apple Design Award for Best iPhone Healthcare & Fitness Application in 2008.

Well, Mobile MIM now back in town with not only what is likely the best radiology image viewer on the iPhone/iPad platform.  

There is now stiff competitors among the many radiology image viewers in the Apple App Store - Mobile MIM definitely has a new competitive advantage with its FDA approval which will likely lower the barrier for use by radiologists in the clinical setting as well as adoption by the radiology or hospital informatics administrators.

Mark Cain, CTO of MIM, emphasizes that "Establishing a diagnostic protocol for medical imaging is no simple matter for a device like the iPhone or iPad.
