AMICAS releases its next generation PACS Version 6.0

radRounds (NEW YORK) -- AMICAS a leading company providing radiology image and information management services has introduced its new AMICAS PACS(TM) Version 6.0. It will be formally showcased at the meeting of RSNA (Radiological Society of North America) to be held on 30th November 2008.

Many advanced features have been included in the new AMICAS PACS Version 6.0 as compared to its earlier versions. Intrinsic 3D, refined mammography workflow, highly developed personalization, hanging protocols and patient centric reading capabilities are some of the new features of this product. These all features make it really easy for a radiologist to manage reading and increase their productivity. With the integrated RealTime Worklist and Halo Viewer AMICAS PACS Version 6.0 helps in managing image examination literally from any place. In this way AMICAS forms a perfect centralized reading system with all the advanced toolsets.

Further Version 6.0 has an intrinsic 3D and mammography workflow tools because of which a radiologist can interpret almost all of his examination types in a single workstation. This also increases the efficiency and productivity of a radiologist, reducing his hassle of going around places to complete a single reading.

AMICAS PACS Version 6.0 has acquired its clearance from the FDA and is in its beta stage. It will be available by early 2009.
