Many advanced features have been included in the new AMICAS PACS Version 6.0 as compared to its earlier versions. Further Version 6.0 has an intrinsic 3D and mammography workflow tools because of which a radiologist can interpret almost all of his examination types in a single workstation. This also increases the efficiency and productivity of a radiologist, reducing his hassle of going around places to complete a single reading.
AMICAS PACS Version 6.0 has acquired its clearance from the FDA and is in its beta stage. It will be available by early 2009.
