A message from the RSNA:
Residents, fellows, physics students and medical students are invited to submit their images and videos to the RadiologyInfo™ Outstanding Image contest. Winning images—with acknowledgement of the contributors—will illustrate existing pages of RadiologyInfo.org, RSNA’s online resource for patients, which provides information on more than 100 exams and procedures.
Randomly selected contributors also receive an Amazon gift card. Read more and enter.
Only one file can be submitted per entry. Maximum file size is 10MB.
Images must be 72 to 600 dpi (300 dpi preferred) in jpg, jpeg or gif formats. Recommended width for images is 450 to 800px.
Images with annotations should include only arrows and/or alpha-numeric callouts (no words). The arrows and callouts should be sized to be readable when image is resized to 450px wide. Definitions for the arrows and/or callouts should be included in the caption (see example 2).
All submissions must include a caption that is easily understandable to the general public. A text box for entering the caption is provided on the entry form.
Video clips must be avi, wmv, or mpg formats.
All submissions must include the page where submitter is recommending it be placed. A list of eligible pages is provided on the entry form.
Submissions may be of normal anatomy or diseases, but not cases that are too unusual. Remember, these images are intended for the public. Photos and schematic drawings of radiology equipment may also be submitted, however, equipment logos and brand names should not be visible.
All patient identifier information must be removed from submissions.
