Radiology Essentials
September 1 - 4
This postgraduate course is designed to describe the evolution and advances in musculoskeletal radiology, in brain and spine imaging, and in body imaging and interventional procedures in the body and chest. Emphasis will be placed on new imaging techniques and in interventional procedures.
Educational Objectives:
Develop a full understanding of the implementation of CT and MR in Stroke and in Neurovascular Disease, with particular emphasis on perfusion studies and the use of the newest MR angiography techniques
Describe and illustrate the latest MR techniques in the brain for tumors and to describe the use of advanced sequences in the imaging of the post treated brain for neoplasm
Define the MR studies to detect the earliest changes in the spine in infectious diseases and to describe the overlapping appearances of many abnormalities which affect the spinal cord either as metabolic/ toxic derangements or as vascular / demyelinating diseases
Direct the interventional radiologist to the proper and most effective method of treating tumors of the liver and kidney
Demonstrate the radiology features of the many and newly devised operations for the post treated and instrumented spine
Correlate the clinical findings in abnormalities of the knee, shoulder, hip and elbow with their MR appearance
Show the usefulness of sonography in the evaluation of MSK abnormalities and how those images can be used to direct proper interventions
Use an Audience Response System so the registrants can perform self evaluation of their knowledge and diagnostic abilities.

This course is intended for all radiologists, diagnostic radiologist, and radiographers.

FEES:
The fee for Evolution in Imaging and Intervention:Musculoskeletal, Body, Neuroradiology(Thursday through Sunday, September 1 - 4, 2011) is $895 for physicians if your registration is postmarked by August 1 2011. After that date, the fee is $950. For Residents, Fellows, Retired, and Military the fee is $795 or $850 if your registration is postmarked after August 1, 2011. For Technologists and Allied Health Prof the fee is $695 and $750 if your registration is postmarked after August 1, 2011. A letter of verification from the Department Chairman must accompany the application of anyone wishing to qualify for the reduced rate. Enrollment will be confirmed on the basis of registration fee. We do not process registration without payment. We cannot guarantee course materials on site for a registration received
after August 1, 2011.
REFUNDS:
Cancellations received in writing by August 1 2011, will receive a refund minus a $75 handling fee. There will be no refunds for cancellations received after that time.
