As experienced imaging professionals we all need tools and techniques to use when dealing with our ever changing patient population and diverse physician specialties.
Radiation safety is a hot topic and an area of public interest. The media coverage of recent events where patients have been exposed to excessive amounts of radiation during imaging procedures led to the public campaigns of Imaging Wisely and Imaging and Gently. You will learn what you need to know to stay current in this important area and how to field questions from your patients. Other topics of interest will include tips on how to manage and diffuse angry situations, pet peeves of orthopedic surgeons and tips on how to improve your imaging techniques for scoliosis and kyphosis.
