ABOUT THE MEETING
This symposium is designed to provide an update on a variety of new cutting edge developments in diagnostic imaging and intervention. Topics include new techniques and practical applications of MRI, CT, US, and Breast Imaging, as well as multimodality imaging and therapeutics in the spine. Emphasis of this meeting is on the practical clinical uses of new technologies. Faculty members have been selected for their teaching ability, as well as their expertise.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This CME activity is primarily intended and designed to educate diagnostic imaging physicians who perform and interpret imaging examinations. The content will be useful to those who order or integrate imaging information into practice management such as general and breast surgeons, internal medicine and general practitioners, neurologists, pain specialists, orthopedic and neurosurgeons.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to:
Discuss new cutting edge applications of MR imaging in the body
Compare the use of CT and MRI in the evaluation of various neurologic, body and angiographic applications
Integrate MRI, PEM, US and tomosynthesis mammography into the workup of breast diseases
Use MRI and CT in the workup and therapeutic intervention of the painful spine
Explain and incorporate CT dose management tools and techniques into clinical protocols No special educational preparation is required for this CME activity.
