Target Audience: All registered sonographers, student sonographers, and radiologic technologists who desire entry level training with vascular ultrasound.
Overall goal of activity: Designed to enhance the knowledge and skills in the areas of vascular technology by introducing participants to laboratory acceptable scanning protocols and extensive hands-on training.
Description: This one day, non-physics course focuses on the technical aspects of ultrasound assessment of the carotid and vertebral arteries. Topics will include: cerebrovascular anatomy, various scanning protocols, and scanning tips. Emphasis will be placed on developing scanning skills through hands-on scanning clinics.
