20th Annual Musculoskeletal MR Course
January 17 - 21
This course is designed for general radiologists and allied health personnel involved in the diagnosis of musculoskeletal disorders. Emphasis will be placed on the clinical applications of MR imaging, particularly for internal derangement of joints. Detailed review of the regional anatomy of articulations will be emphasized, as well as a review of standard imaging protocols for the major articulations. The use of MR for assessment of post-traumatic alterations of joints will be reviewed in detail for the major joints. The role of MR imaging in non articular disorders, such as trauma, osteonecrosis, and bone marrow disorders will be briefly reviewed. A practical approach to MR imaging of common musculoskeletal disorders will be emphasized.
Course Objectives
At the conclusion of this course the participant should be able to:
♦♦ Have an improved understanding of the normal anatomy of the major joints
♦♦ Understand mechanisms and be able to identify common forms of internal derangement
♦♦ Have an updated understanding of the state of the art in cartilage and joint imaging
♦♦ Have reviewed the MR alterations produced by common neoplastic disorders
