DESCRIPTION:20th Annual Musculoskeletal MR Course\nJanuary 17 - 21\n\n
 This course is designed for general radiologists and allied health per
 sonnel involved in the diagnosis of musculoskeletal disorders. Emphasi
 s will be placed on the clinical applications of MR imaging, particula
 rly for internal derangement of joints. Detailed review of the regiona
 l anatomy of articulations will be emphasized, as well as a review of 
 standard imaging protocols for the major articulations. The use of MR 
 for assessment of post-traumatic alterations of joints will be reviewe
 d in detail for the major joints. The role of MR imaging in non articu
 lar disorders, such as trauma, osteonecrosis, and bone marrow disorder
 s will be briefly reviewed. A practical approach to MR imaging of comm
 on musculoskeletal disorders will be emphasized.\n\nCourse Objectives\
 n\nAt the conclusion of this course the participant should be able to:
 \n\n♦♦ Have an improved understanding of the normal anatomy of the
  major joints\n\n♦♦ Understand mechanisms and be able to identify 
 common forms of internal derangement\n\n♦♦ Have an updated underst
 anding of the state of the art in cartilage and joint imaging\n\n♦â™
 ¦ Have reviewed the MR alterations produced by common neoplastic disor
 ders\n\nNeeds Assessment\n\nThe content of this educational program wa
 s determined by rigorous assessment of educational needs and includes 
 surveys, program feedback, expert faculty assessment, literature revie
 w, medical practice, chart review, and new medical knowledge.\n\nAccre
