(RESTON, VA) - ARRT Exam Committee Slots Open
The American College of Radiology (ACR) works closely with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) providing representation on its various exam committees. There are currently openings available for ACR radiologist representatives to serve on:
ARRT Breast Sonography Exam Committee
ARRT Cardiac Interventional Exam Committee
ARRT MRI Exam Committee
ARRT Quality Management Exam Committee
ARRT Vascular Interventional Exam Committee
Service on these exam committees is typically four one-year terms. The term for new appointees typically begins July 1 (although some slots are currently open and may begin immediately). The exam committees are made up of physicians, medical physicists and radiologic technologists. The committees’ primary function is to ensure that ARRT exams in those functional areas are current, appropriate and properly test the knowledge of those examined. Typically a few short (one to two days) meetings are held each year to discuss and assess the current exam and build for the next year’s exam.
Volunteers should be well-experienced in the exam area. If you are interested in having your name considered for one of these positions, please contact Fran Cordero at the ACR at fcordero@acr-arrs.org or 800-227-5463, ext. 4496.
