radRounds (CHICAGO) -- We learned recently at the most recent RSNA, OsiriX is now full steam ahead on their iPhone App. OsiriX , the wonderful and amazing open-source Mac-based radiology image viewer is now officially on the iPhone Apps store. Go check out the iPhone Apps to look for your very own portable Osirix workstation. Check images anywhere you go! Help a referring physician or even take call remotely (although not yet FDA approved of course) - Osirix iPhone enables you to look at x-rays, ultrasounds, PET, CT, and MRI images. This is a great complementary program to use with your full mac-based version. In other words, if you store your research or teaching files on your local Osirix machine, you can use your iPhone to view those same images. Isn't technology great?
