New ACR Practice Leaders’ Web Site Launches Online Forum

Reston, Va. — The American College of Radiology (ACR) recently launched a new practice leaders’ Web site designed to address the clinical and administrative issues facing today’s radiology and radiation oncology practice leaders by providing the most recent literature gathered from throughout the medical landscape and providing an online forum to discuss these issues with their peers.

With its library of articles, the Web site offers insight into a plethora of practice-related issues regarding clinical and administrative improvement. Until now, information on these topics has been scattered in different locations. The Practice Leaders’ Web site offers a one-stop shop for answers to practice leadership-related questions, comments, and concerns.

“The group practice leaders’ site is a one-of-a-kind resource providing access to the latest information from some of the leading minds and top organizations in the country. I can’t urge practice leaders enough to take advantage of the College’s latest effort to help groom the practice leaders of tomorrow and make current leaders even better administrators,” said Howard Fleishon, M.D., chair of the ACR Practice Leaders Committee.

The Practice Leaders’ Web site is a place to find customized support. The “about” section includes an area where visitors can provide feedback on topics and articles that they would like to see posted on the site. With the ever-evolving content provided by radiologists and their peers, this tool will evolve and continue to add value to the visitor’s practice.

“The group practice leaders’ site is by practice leaders, for practice leaders. It is designed to encourage practice leaders to take an active and informed role in the issues affecting their practices and more effectively manage the day-to-day activities of their practices,” said Philip Cook, M.D., chair of the ACR Practice Leaders Web Subcommittee.

The forum is a valuable section of the Web site. In real time, practice leaders can discuss topics in radiology with access to the knowledge and experience of other experts in the profession. This area of the Web site adapts to your needs and helps address the issues faced in your practice.

“The forum feature is an invaluable resource allowing practice leaders to share their thoughts and seek input from other leaders online from anywhere in the world,” said Philip Cook, M.D.
