Featured Job Posting - Interventional Radiologist needed - $375K Starting with One Year Partnership Track

A stable and congenial group of 10 radiologists based in the mountains of east Tennessee is seeking a second board-certified (ABR-MOC) interventional radiologist. The group provides services for a single 325-bed regional medical center and two free-standing imaging clinics, with all interventional work currently confined to the hospital. The diverse interventional service is currently covered by two experienced radiologists, one of which is an MOC-certified interventionalist. Both are experienced in CTA/MRA, and are ACC level II cardiac CTA certified. The group also employs two radiology physician assistants who do the majority of PICC placements, lumbar punctures, and routine fluid drainages.

The new interventionalist could do as little as 50%, or as much as 75%, interventional work, and would have full admitting privileges with the opportunity to guide the service in its ongoing evolution from a traditional to a clinical practice model. The service prides itself in being able, affable, and available; a pleasant, agreeable personality both in and out of the interventional lab is required.

Non-interventional work is primarily concentrated in vascular related modalities, both neuro and non-neuro. CTA’s are performed primarily on a Toshiba Aquilion 64-channel scanner, and post-processed on one of three Vital Imaging 3D workstations. MRA’s are generally performed on our 3 Tesla GE Excite magnet. Experience in cardiac CT and/or MRA would be a plus.

General call consists of evening shift work equally shared by all group members, with telerad coverage extending from 11:30pm to 6:00am. There is separate IR coverage/backup, for which there is extra compensation.

Depending on experience, initial compensation ranges from $350K to $375K, with only one year to partnership. Benefits include professional liability, generous family medical, and disability insurance plans. Pension/profit sharing is fully funded after the first year. Vacation/CME is in excess of 10 weeks per year.
