Best submitted Photographs will be presented at the ECR 2010.
The ECR Photo Competition is back, and this time we are testing the obvious creative power of the radiological community by enhancing the contest with a tricky theme: ‘the creation of knowledge’. We are asking you to interpret this phrase in any way you see fit and send us your photographs by February 8. The best submissions will be put on display in a special presentation area at ECR 2010 for all to see, so let your imagination run riot, and show your colleagues the true range of your ‘imaging’ expertise!
Submission of Photographs: Entrants may submit their photographs via e-mail (no prints, CDs or DVDs please). Please ensure that all images are labelled with the title AND the last name of the photographer.
All submissions must be digital files. Images must be a minimum of 6 megapixel (2816x2112) or higher. Please convert your photographs if they are bigger than 3MB. Photographs may be black & white, or colour. Photographs may be in either landscape or portrait format. Entrants may submit up to 2 photographs Contest entries must be received by mail no later than February 8, 2010. Please send your digital photographs to robert.gruenkranz@myesr.org
You certify that you are the person who took the photograph(s) and that you own the copyrights of the photographs. You release the ESR from any liability whatsoever that arises from the use of the photographs except for uses that violate the terms and conditions of this release. You agree to work in good faith with the ESR to promptly resolve any problems or disputes that may arise due to your submission of the photographs. You grant the ESR the royalty-free and non-exclusive right to use your photographs as follows: on the ESR website, for ESR posters, brochures and activity guides, in ESR electronic e-mails and in other internal or external marketing materials or media coordinated by the ESR. You understand that the ESR will request additional permission from you before using your photographs for purposes other than listed above. You will give the ESR all copyright information for you photograph so that the ESR can include the proper credit for published photographs. You agree that if any portion of this release is found to be void or unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.
Minor digital enhancement for cropping, red-eye removal, filters, corrective functions and legitimate manipulations such as burning and dodging, brightness and contrast, colour adjustments, saturation, stitching and cropping are permitted. In cases where a photograph is considered to be ‘digital art’, the image may not be considered. Entrants are not permitted to place borders or frames around their images, or place watermarks, signatures, dates or copyright notices on their images.
