Auntminnie Founder and Pioneer Radiologist Dr. Phillip Berman MD - In Memoriam

Dr. Phillip Berman, a luminary radiologist, entrepreneur, and physician has passed away this past Sunday, February 8th 2009 from lung cancer. Dr. Phillip Berman is known as a radiologist and also the founder of well known radiology portal Auntminnie.com. Not only was he a great radiologist but he was also a successful physician-entrepreneur! Auntminnie was one of the first radiology portals started in 1999. Auntminnie was founded by Dr. Berman despite its founding during the dot com bust in 2000. Thanks to Dr. Berman, Auntminnie became a popular website among residents, fellows, radiologists, and other medical imaging professionals.

Dr. Berman is survived by three children and his wife. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to San Diego Hospice Foundation, 4311 3rd Ave., San Diego, CA, 92103.
