AMIRSYS® introduces RADPrimer™ Learning Portal for Radiology Residents

Salt Lake City- November 22, 2010– AMIRSYS® announces the release of the RADPrimer™ Learning Portal for Radiology Residents. RADPrimer is the first online radiology education portal created specifically to meet the needs of both radiology residents and program directors. RADPrimer provides specialized radiology courses aligned with the curriculum for radiology residents and provides residents a means to master this curriculum through both learning and testing modes. This competency-based online radiology program covers the 11 core disciplines for radiology residency to ensure that residents are receiving sufficient training in all 11 areas. The curriculum provides residents with easy access to high-quality educational materials while also facilitating program instruction and resident self-study. “Whenever I talk with other program directors about the challenges we face in training radiology residents, one topic never fails to come up: How do we know if our residents are learning what they need to know?”, states H. RADPrimer is composed of two separate modules that meet the respective needs of residents and program directors. The resident module allows residents to master content in all 11 core disciplines of radiology, self-assess with unknown case challenges, deep-dive study into the curriculum, and track individual progress. The Academic Administrative Module allows program directors to create and assign quizzes in 11 core disciplines, track resident performance & study time, monitor statistics by resident, year, or program, and produce summary report documentation for ACGME records. RADPrimer is available to residents, residency programs, or both as an annual subscription. “STATdx is great for problem-solving at the console, but residents need an organized, comprehensive, interactive study guide as well; RADPrimer provides just that,” said Michael Federle, MD of Stanford University.
