Coronis Fusion 6MP DL is the world's first six MegaPixel diagnostic display by Barco

Coronis Fusion 6MP DL, which is the world's first six MegaPixel diagnostic display system engineered and developed by Barco, is quickly finding acceptance in the radiology reading room. After some early contracts in the Australia, Belgium, Korea, Germany, USA and France, Barco announced recently that it has received an important order for this product from the Beatrix Hospital in the Netherlands.

Coronis Fusion 6MP DL is the latest offering from Barco's diagnostic display. This system introduces the first seamless thirty-inch colour Liquid Colour Display that can be dynamically used either as 2 seamless three MegaPixel heads or as a single wide-screen six MegaPixel display. This helps the radiologists to read CT, MR, Chest X-Ray, Cath and Echo Cardiogram images, or any possible combination, together on a single diagnostic screen. This wide-screen Liquid Colour Display screen comes with a high-performance display controller and a system connected to internet for automated softcopy Quality Assurance.

Beatrix solution in their search for their softcopy display solution set up a steering committee that brought together their radiology department, an external consultancy company and a Clinical Physicist. It was their unanimous decision to use Barco’s Coronis Fusion 6MP DL.
