Coronary calcium scoring can be trusted to guide cardiac test selection

Coronary artery calcium scanning predicts the risk of myocardial infarction and sudden death accurately enough to guide the selection of diagnostic tests for symptomatic patients, according to a multicenter prospective study. Childhood Lead Exposure Causes Permanent Brain Damage

CMS Delays Referring Physicians’ PECOS Enrollment Requirement

(WASHINGTON, DC) -- The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced through a listserv message that the Medicare enrollment requirement for referring or ordering physicians is delayed until April 5, 2010.
