Foreign Body in Eye - Accidental Impalement with Pair of Shears in Eye

 

(ARIZONA, USA) - An 86 year old man in Arizona presents with a large foreign body, specifically a pair of gardening shears impaled into his orbit.  CT scan demonstrates the extent of the injury.  After removal of this large foreign body, the patient has retained nearly full vision without any significant serious long term complications expected.
