Lesion seen in the atrium of the left lateral ventricle (Size 7X5 cm ). On an axial T1-weighted MR image, the mass is isointense relative to gray matter. Hipointense area intensity suggests hemorrhage or calcification.
On an axial T2-weighted MR image, the mass shows even more heterogeneity, with prominent peripheral areas of
marked hypointensity suggestive of deposition of hemosiderin . Vasogenic edema (large arrows) is
present in the surrounding brain parenchyma.
Contrast-enhanced axial T1-weighted MR image shows intense enhancement of the mass.
