Temporomandibular joint disorder

This is a 23 year-old student with dull pain in the temporomandibular joint. No • popping when opening or closing the mouth is reported.
• Although the image was taken with the mouth open the condyle does not glide (translates) in the fossa over the articular turbrcle. The only hint of opening is the inclination of the condyloid process .

the disk is very thin. the downward inclination of the condyle sen on coronal images could be a cause of the problem.

On the other side, the right, where the pain was worst ,the above findings were also present, in addition the disk was almost invisible.
