Event Description

The Ultrasound Guided Regional Anesthesia Course is designed for medical professionals seeking to integrate ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia techniques for surgery, pain management, or procedural applications such as fracture reduction. This ultrasound training course incorporates comprehensive lectures, interactive case presentations, and extensive hands-on scanning featuring a 3:1 ratio with live models and inanimate phantoms.

Objectives

  1. Increase the participants’ knowledge and competence to perform Ultrasound-Guided Regional Anesthesia procedures.
  2. Demonstrate proper transducer manipulation and system optimization to produce diagnostic images.
  3. List the advantages of using ultrasound-guided nerve block techniques.
  4. Identify and distinguish the topographic and cross-sectional brachial plexus anatomy.
  5. Demonstrate imaging techniques for performing ultrasound-guided upper extremities regional anesthesia nerve blocks.
  6. Demonstrate imaging techniques for performing ultrasound-guided lower extremities anesthesia nerve blocks on live models.
  7. Increase confidence to incorporate protocols, scan techniques, and interpretation criteria to integrate the skills learned into clinical practice.
