Description:
At the completion of this course, the attendee should be able to:
1. Apply acquired knowledge in recent advances in CT and MRI techniques to improve imaging protocols in clinical practice for Neuro and Musculoskeletal imaging;
2. Recognize specifi c imaging features to identify and diagnose subtle and traumatic neurological conditions including: seizure focus, brain tumors and their mimics, CNS infections, and spinal cord lesions and injuries;
3. Improve patient safety by appropriately reducing dosage in diagnostic CT imaging;
4. Use MR spectroscopic method as a problem solving tool in differentiating various brain masses;
5. Recognize normal anatomy and pathology related to MRI of the major musculoskeletal joints;
6. Differentiate normal and abnormal bone marrow processes on MRI;
7. Correctly characterize and stage bone and soft tissue tumors using MRI.
