Target Audience: All registered sonographers, student sonographers, and radiologic technologists who desire entry level training with vascular ultrasound.
Overall goal of activity: Designed to enhance the knowledge and skills in the areas of vascular technology by introducing participants to laboratory acceptable scanning protocols and extensive hands-on training.
Description: - This one day, non-physics designed course focuses on the technical aspects of ultrasound assessment of extremity venous system using various scanning protocols, scanning tips and common pitfalls encountered with venous ultrasound scanning. Emphasis will be placed on developing scanning skills through hands-on scanning clinics.
Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
Approved for 6.5 SDMS CMEs
SDMS credits accepted as ARRT category A
