Objectives & Topics
At the completion of this program, the participant should be able to:
1. Describe techniques and protocols for performing shoulder, elbow, knee, ankle and foot ultrasound examinations.
2. Identify normal anatomy during musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging.
3. Explain the capabilities and limitations of musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging.
4. Identify sonographic appearance of commonly seen pathology of the shoulder, knee, elbow, ankle and foot.
5. Discuss scan techniques and protocols for the evaluation of sports hernia.
6. Increase the participant’s knowledge to better perform and/or interpret musculoskeletal ultrasound examinations.
7. Apply the information discussed in a clinical setting, under supervised conditions until an accepted level of proficiency has been achieved.
