Mammography has proven to reduce the mortality of breast cancer and has been used for decades to screen women. However, it doesn’t do any good to screen 100 women a day if you “leave the cancer in the room”! The Radiologist can only interpret what you image on a mammogram. Is all the breast tissue imaged? Is there optimal compression? It all depends on how well we do our job!
This is the class you have been waiting for; a full day dedicated to topics important to your daily practice in mammography. This workshop is designed for “front line mammographers” and focuses on positioning and image critique skills, which translate to improvements in image quality. You will learn the standards for proper positioning and learn valuable positioning tips and tricks from technologists with years of experience performing and teaching the art of mammography. Sharpen you image critique skills with numerous positioning images demonstrating positioning do’s and don’ts. Finally, relax, take a deep breath, and enjoy the inspiring and entertaining presentation “Warm Fuzzy of Mammography”. You will leave rejuvenated and have a greater appreciation for your wonderful profession of saving lives one mammogram at a time!
