Event Description

Come join us for a new mammography class developed and presented by one of MD Anderson Cancer Center’s finest technologists. This mammography class will bring you a wealth of information on detection and treatment of breast cancer. The “positioning” will focus on deficiencies and challenges we all face every day.  The "pathology" session will focus on tools for masses, calcifications, scars vs. residual disease and the staging of our patients.  Breast imaging techniques being used as a compliment to mammography will be included as well as body mechanics of the mammography technologist.  We will take a look at mammography artifacts and be engaged in the presentation!  The day will conclude with a fun, motivational session focusing on YOU the mammogaphy technologist.  Being a mammographer takes passion and you will love this class as you stay involved in your career and follow your path in “making saving lives every day your mission”!
