Course Itinerary
Fetal Echocardiography Course Objectives:
At the completion of the program the participant should be able to:
1. State the indications and applications for performing fetal echocardiography.
2. Explain fetal cardiac anatomy and physiology.
3. Identify ultrasound anatomy of the fetal heart.
4. Demonstrate a routine protocol for a fetal echocardiogram.
5. List standard 2D and Doppler measurements included in a routine fetal heart ultrasound examination.
6. Describe commonly seen fetal heart pathology.
7. Increase knowledge and confidence to perform and/or interpret fetal echo exams.
8. Perform a fetal heart screening under supervised co0nditions until an accepted level of proficiency has been achieved.
