The three-day hands-on Abdominal/Family Medicine ultrasound course provides participants with a strong foundation to perform the core ultrasound applications as outlined in the AIUM ultrasound practice guidelines. This unique hands-on abdominal ultrasound training program is taught by leading ultrasound expert physicians and sonographers to provide the perfect balance of a physicians clinical experience and sonographers expertise. The abdominal/family medicine ultrasound training incorporates lectures, interactive case presentations using an audience response system, and extensive hands-on scanning, featuring a 3:1 ratio with live models and inanimate phantoms. Topics covered include liver, gallbladder/biliary system, renal, abdominal aorta, spleen, trauma ultrasound (FAST exam), testicular and thyroid, and soft-tissue applications.
This abdominal sonography hands-on workshop is approved for 24.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (also meets ARDMS and lab accreditation CME requirements). In addition the abdominal ultrasound hands-on course is approved for 22.0 hours of ACEP Category I Credit and 24 Category A ASRT Credits.
