Recent incidents of documented radiation overexposures and the Imaging Gently Initiatives have increased public awareness and made radiation safety a “hot topic” in imaging.  So dust off your radiation safety manuals and join AHEC for a day of very important information to add to your knowledge base.  With knowledge comes responsibility! As professionals in medical imaging we are accountable to our patients and must adhere to radiations safety practices that provide optimal care with the least amount of radiation, and comply with regulatory requirements.
