The Introduction to Carotid and Duplex/Color Flow Imaging and Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound hands-on course is a live, five-day program designed to provide a strong foundation to perform and/or interpret carotid and peripheral vascular ultrasound examinations. The course is taught by leading vascular specialists and includes lectures, interactive case studies, and extensive hands- on scanning, featuring a 3:1 hands-on ratio using live models. Program topics include anatomy/physiology, scan protocols/techniques, and normal & abnormal duplex/color flow characteristics of the carotid, peripheral venous and arterial systems.
The Carotid and Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound protocols are taught in accordance with AIUM and IAC guidelines. In addition, a comprehensive review of diagnostic criteria and the incorporation of over 145+ interactive case studies for cerebrovascular, upper and lower extremity venous and arterial disease are also provided. Hands-on training targets not only Carotid and Peripheral Vascular duplex/color flow imaging, but also offers indirect arterial testing methods and diagnostic criteria.
This intensive hands-on carotid duplex/color flow imaging program provides the training needed to immediately begin integrating the newly acquired skills into clinical practice.
