Blended Introduction to Carotid Duplex/Color Flow Imaging (Online Course + Hands-On Workshop)

The Blended Introduction to Carotid Duplex/Color Flow Imaging Course will give you a strong foundation in order to begin performing and/or interpreting Carotid Ultrasound Examinations. This course includes 8 months access to a comprehensive online course combined with two full days of extensive hands on scanning in our scan only workshop. The scanning workshop featuring a 3:1 ratio with live models and knowledgeable hands on instructors.

Objectives

1. Increase the participants’ knowledge to better perform Carotid Duplex/Color Flow Imaging ultrasound examinations.
2. Apply knowledge of the anatomy/physiology of the cerebrovascular system into the Carotid Duplex examination.
3. Perform routine scan protocols, and Doppler calculations in a complete carotid duplex/color examination.
4. Differentiate normal/abnormal spectral Doppler/color characteristics.
5. Perform Intima-Media Thickness measurements and evaluation and state the clinical significance as a screening method for cardiovascular disease.
