18th Annual Radiology in the Desert

March 7 - 11, 2011

Program Objectives:

This five-day course will provide a broad overview of selected radiology/imaging subjects of particular importance for diagnostic radiologists in clinical practice. A broad range of lecture topics, with emphasis on practical applications, will be presented. Topics will include, but are not limited to: breast imaging (including mammography), musculoskeletal, chest, abdomen, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and neuroradiology topics of interest to the general radiologist.

The course will be presented by faculty members from the Radiology Department at the University of Michigan and a visiting speaker. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions, both at the daily question and answer panels and at the early morning breakfast discussion sessions.

Formal programming ends early each day to allow an opportunity to enjoy recreational activities and family time. The course adjourns earlier on Friday morning, March 11, at 11 am to facilitate travel back home for those who do not wish to prolong their stay.

Target Audience:

Course content is appropriate for radiologists.

Accreditation:

The University of Michigan Medical School is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The University of Michigan Medical School designates this educational activity for a maximum of 25.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. The American Osteopathic Association has approved this activity for 25 category 2A credits. Other credits by specialty may apply. Instruction hours have been determined for the following: Mammography (3 instruction hours).
