From St. Mary's Medical Center Duluth, MN

On Wednesday, October 18, at 6:30pm Central Daylight Time, the Duluth Clinic and St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN will present a live webcast of a total knee replacement procedure. Duluth Clinic Orthopaedic Surgeon Bradley Edgerton, MD, will be performing the knee replacement. His colleagues, Duluth Clinic Orthopaedic Surgeons Tom Patnoe, MD, and Jeff Klassen, MD, will serve as co-moderators. Wendy Lane, Joint Replacement Nurse Clinician will help describe the procedure and what patients can expect both preoperatively and in rehabilitation.
"With baby boomers maintaining a more active lifestyle as they age, knee replacement surgeries are becoming more and more common," Dr. Patnoe says. "This will offer patients a rare opportunity to get a first-hand look at the procedure." Joint replacements at St. Mary's incorporate the latest technologies and minimally invasive techniques. These advancements result in less post-operative pain and shorter recovery times.
