Similarities include diagnostic workstations, archive infrastructure, DICOM modality work list functionality, web-based distribution, and interfaces to hospital information systems and electronic medical records. CardioPACS require the same multimodality, multivendor connectivity capabilities as do radiology PACS. Both deal with large imaging data sets.
