May 29, 2008 Thrall becomes American College of Radiology chair H. A. Abella -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dr. James H. Thrall, radiologist-in-chief at Massachusetts General Hospital, has been chosen as the new chair of the American College of Radiology Board of Chancellors. He was appointed during the college's 2008 annual meeting in Washington, DC. Thrall, an ACR fellow and a professor of radiology at Harvard University, had just finished an appointment as chair of the ACR Commission on Molecular Imaging. He has served as chair of the ACR's RadPAC Political Action Committee board and member of its Website Advisory Committee, as well as at the ACR Foundation. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of the American College of Radiology and on the editorial advisory board for Diagnostic Imaging. "Dr. Thrall has shown outstanding leadership in every role in which he has served within the ACR and elsewhere. He is a longtime advocate of the radiology profession and a nationally recognized expert in the field. We look forward to his continued leadership as chair of the ACR Board of Chancellors," said ACR executive director Dr. Harvey L. Neiman.
