Sedation CME Provider Approved to Offer AAFP Credit for Its Live Continuing Medical Education Activities

Conscious Sedation Consulting, a provider of Continuing Medical Education (CME) for physicians and other clinicians on the administration of sedation, analgesia, Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS® and Airway Management Training, has received approval from the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) to offer AAFP Prescribed credit for its live CME activities.

"Family physicians have a broad understanding of many different diseases and medical conditions, and need to maintain their competency and obtain new knowledge and skills in a number of disciplines. As an increasing number of procedures involving or requiring sedation and analgesia are offered in offices and clinics, family physicians seeking to maintain and enhance their administration skills, techniques and knowledge to provide safe sedation can now earn AAFP CME credit as well," said Randy Pigg, CEO Conscious Sedation Consulting.

Realizing that the family doctor's effectiveness depends on sound, up-to-date continuing education, AAFP requires that members must complete a minimum of 150 hours of approved CME every three years.

This activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 16.25 Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians.
