Radiology Partners, or RadPartners, a national network of radiology services has announced they will be setting up more than 70 new sites across Ohio, Iowa, and Texas. These new additions will expand the group’s list of over 350 practices in hospitals in Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Texas.
In 2012, the same year they were established, RadPartners received a $60 million capital investment from New Enterprise Associates, an international venture capital firm. This past May they were given an additional $200 million in a growth equity funding round. Rich Whitney, RadPartner’s Chairman and CEO said in a statement that bringing on radiologists to these new sites will “allow them to thrive by leveraging their solid local foundation with the added benefits of our national support resources, technology, and clinical best practice initiatives.”
Healthcare workers in these respective states echo Whitney’s thoughts. “RP is going to help raise the level of clinical expertise and service we can provide to our patients,” said Solomon Bierman, MD, a radiologist at the Dallas Regional Medical Center. “We also recognize our patients will benefit from RP’s resources, broader sub-specialties and clinical programs.” Jenny Klyn, director of ancillary services at Monroe County Hospital in Albia, Iowa is excited about how the integration will raise the bar of quality. “Our new partnership with Radiology Partners will bring our physicians a higher level of support and resources,” she commented in the press release.
