Nvidia and Nuance Want to Make Image Analysis Better and Faster with Their AI Marketplace

Nvidia and Nuance are joining forces to create an AI distribution platform where practitioners can take advantage of AI-trained models for medical imaging analyses. This new partnership comes on the heels of Nvidia and GE Healthcare’s recent announcement to implement Nvidia GPU technology into GE imaging devices.

Medical imaging is a multifaceted field that involves intensive attention to detail of various parts of the body and requires specialized technologies to interpret different patient-specific issues. The Nuance AI Marketplace for Diagnostic Imaging aims to streamline imaging data responsibilities. Radiologists face a great deal of pressure when it comes to patient care expectations and administrative tasks. The AI Marketplace decreases workload restraints by streamlining medical imaging analysis with an extensive collection of algorithms for interpreting large volumes of imaging data.

Radiologists will be able to use thousands of medical imaging AI applications to read images, auto populate reports, and prioritize clinical needs. Not just for radiologists, the AI Marketplace is also a hub for researchers, developers, medical organizations, clinics, hospitals, and IT companies to utilize AI applications.

NVIDIA’s deep learning system will deploy the medical imaging workflow and train and publish applications to the AI Marketplace. NVIDIA’s Digits developer tool allows developers to publish algorithms straight to Nuance PowerShare, enabling their applications to be easily accessed in the AI Marketplace.

“Our AI Marketplace will bring together the leading technical, research and healthcare minds to create a collection of image processing algorithms that, when made accessible to the wide array of radiologists who use our solutions daily, has the power to exponentially impact outcomes and further drive the value of radiologists to the broader care team,” said Peter Durlach, senior vice president of Health at Nuance.
