May 6, 2008 Medrad launches prostate education Greg Freiherr -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Medrad unveiled an educational program at the ISMRM meeting designed to teach the operators of GE Signa scanners how to perform prostate MR with its eCoil Endorectal Coil. The correspondence program will be led by John Kurhanewicz, Ph.D., director of the Prostate Cancer Imaging Research Program at the University of California, San Francisco and Dr. Nicolas Bloch, radiology clinician researcher at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Clinicians will have up to six hours of e-mail, telephone, video conference, and/or instant message access to the expert physicians, according to the Bayer affiliate. Kurhanewicz and Bloch have a combined 22 years of experience in this specialty, having performed more than 7000 prostate MR imaging procedures.
