AMATO MBA (RT) Mr. Amato is the Medical Center's administrator for radiology at the University of Virginia Health System. Enhancing collaboration with referring physicians is the focus of a major renovation currently under way at the University of Virginia Health System's radiology department. As the trend toward PACS and digital radiology has moved forward, many radiologists have become concerned that face-toface interactions with clinicians have declined. Dr. Alan H. Matsumoto, interim chair for the department, said the problem needed a fresh approach.
