Dicom and Change Healthcare are Partnering with Google Cloud to Solve Your Data Storage Woes

Many healthcare organizations rely on Google cloud storage for file sharing. However, getting adequate space on the system is a struggle that affects us all. At the annual Radiological Society of North America conference, Dicom Systems, Change Healthcare, and Kanteron Systems announced they’re collaborating with Google Cloud to expand and streamline storage services for healthcare providers and facilities. Here’s how they will be improving storage structures:

Dicom Systems: Healthcare organizations will soon be able to take advantage of Dicom’s hybrid cloud VNA, The Universal Cloud Archive Adaptor, which provides storage for images along with data recovery backup, and a de-identified copy of image files that have “contributed to the anonymized data lake–giving you a meaningful rebate on your cloud archive license cost,” according to Healthcare IT News. It’s also a machine learning system, and builds networks for physicians to easily access. "We believe this is how the imaging community should crowdsource for health data: by bringing customers to the frontline where they can innovate alongside us,” said Dmitriy Tochilnik, president and CTO of Dicom Systems, in a press release.

Change Healthcare: Through artificial intelligence technology, Change Healthcare is creating a “scalable data infrastructure” that will lower costs and effectively manage data. “Change Healthcare is positioned to transform the value that imaging brings to healthcare providers," said Erkan Akyuz, Change Healthcare’s president of imaging and workflow solutions. "By working with Google Cloud in this strategic collaboration, we are poised to accelerate that transformation."

Ambra Health, lifeImage, and Nautilus Medical are some of the other software companies partnering with Google Cloud to deliver sharing and storage services to healthcare organizations.
