ACR 2015™ Conference Attendees Learn How to Influence the Radiology Profession

Washington, DC (May 4, 2015) — Hosted by American College of Radiology at their annual conference ACR 2015™, attendees of the RFS sessions, or Resident and Fellow Section meetings, learned about the external forces affecting the profession and interacted with leadership, all while networking with peers and learning how to advance their own careers.

“The RFS content available at ACR 2015 equips us to take charge of our careers and influence our profession,” said Andrew Moriarity, MD, chair of the ACR Resident and Fellow Section and member, ACR Council Steering Committee.  “In a time of great medical change, ACR 2015 is a must-attend event for those looking to avoid the pitfalls and take advantage of the opportunities ahead.”

This year’s sessions included practical and business-oriented sessions, such as:

  • The Practice Environment of Modern Day Radiology

  • The Business and Economics of Radiology

  • Your Career: Building Blocks for Success

  • Introduction to the RFS and Imaging 3.0

  • National Events Impacting the Country and Setting the Stage for the 2016 Elections

The ACR also announced the addition of new annual meeting for radiologist called The Crossroads of Radiology. The first annual meeting will be held May 17–21 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC, and will include more than 100 concurrent sessions and general sessions, including a keynote speech delivered by General Colin L. Powell (Ret.).

Both the ACR annual meetings offer attendees the chance to earn continuing medical education and self-assessment module credits for Maintenance of Certification. Learn more at www.acr.org.
