Additional description or bio about me:
We specialize in locums in Australia, New Zealand and the United States; we have the most openings with the highest earnings potential and the most personalized service in the industry! We pioneered international medical staffing and since 1994, we have placed many thousands of medical doctors into locum tenens and permanent posts throughout Australia and New Zealand. Now we are applying our experience orchestrating complicated overseas assignments to U.S. locum tenens.

Whether you’re interested in an opportunity overseas or in the U.S., our assignments give you the opportunity to travel, earn extra money, or try a location temporarily before making any permanent commitments… all while receiving the best service in the industry.

Since 1994 Global Medical Staffing (GMS) has been placing medical doctors in positions throughout Australia and New Zealand. Neither Australia nor New Zealand trained or employed enough doctors to meet their own needs and the demand in certain fields of specialization escalated so rapidly that they were unable to keep up with the demand.Global Medical Staffing places the doctors in very attractive communities that are in need of trained specialists. They provide care in coastal resort towns, major metropolitan cities, mid-sized cities, farming and mining towns, as well as remote desert communities.

Most communities are looking for doctors that can commit to working abroad for one or two years.Temporary positions for 6 month or less are also available, but not recommended because it usually takes on average 6 weeks to fully understand Australian and New Zealand medicine and about three months to become completely comfortable in your new surroundings. A typical workweek ranges from forty to fifty hours and the duties that you will perform are discussed in great detail prior to leaving. Once your skills have been established and the job description has been thoroughly discussed, you will be pre-qualified and the job location will be determined.Once you accept the position, they will send your CV, references and other information to the practice. Global Medical Staffing will even arrange a teleconference call with the other doctors in your practice so that you can get a feel for how life is down under.

There are routine openings in the following fields:

Anesthesiology
Cardiology
Child Psychiatry
Ear, Nose and Throat (Otolaryngology)
Emergency Medicine
General Practice/Family Medicine
General Medicine
General Surgery
Obstetrics/Gynecology
Orthopedic Surgery
Oncology
Psychiatry (General Adult, Geriatric and Forensic)
Radiology

Occasionally there are openings in these fields as well:

Geriatrics
Nephrology
Neurology
Pathology
Pediatrics
Urology

Your family is always welcome to join you in Australia or New Zealand.Global Medical Staffing encourages you to bring your family and children to experience a completely different culture than they’re used to.The public schools for children are very good and Global Medical Staffing can put you in touch with other parents and school officials to help answer any questions that you may have. Once you have made the final decision to accept the position and bring your family with you, then work visas and medical registration paperwork will be completed. This will be an experience of a lifetime and Global Medical Staffing is prepared to make your stay down under successful in everyway.
