Hypodense cerebral hemispheres while the cerebellum is hyperdense. Cerebellum actually is normal but is relatively hyperdense. Etiologies include: extreme hypoxia, strangulation, drowning, trauma, child abuse or diffuse cerebral edema due to any cause.
