I agree with Dr Saeed,I think there is a need for more reseach in developing the diagnostic modalilties which are not only cost effective but highly sensitive as well!

Thanx for information about rising cost of healthcare not only in America, but gradually in developing countries such as Iran as well. Sophisticated techniques create a kind of snobism not purely human. I think the best way for us consists of regarding the cost-effectiveness issues of the matter, even if it is a lost art as you said. This has been my aim in teaching residents of radiology for the future and hope they care to the goal!

True, in the United States, there is a lost art in plain film interpretation and one of the many reasons why healthcare cost here are rising!

Thanx. This one had barium swallow too but i preferred plain film which is more instructive.
